Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
Bangabandhu Unquestionably, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led Bangladesh. He liberated Bangladesh from the Pakistani rule in 1971 through a bloody liberation war. He was born on March 17, 1920, in Tungipara, Gopalganj district, to a wealthy Bengali Muslim family. His matriculation at Gopalganj Missionary School in 1942, intermediate of arts at Kolkata Islamia College in 1944, and bachelor's degree at the same institution in 1947 all went well for him.

Mujib demonstrated leadership aptitude from a young age by taking part in the Language Movement in 1952 and the Mass Movement in 1969. In the election 1970, Bangladesh Awami League under his strong leadership, secured absolute majority but Pakistani rulers opposed to handover the power. In continuation of the situation he officially declared the independence of Bangladesh at the first hour of 26 March 1971 before he was arrested by the Pakistani Army.
Under his covert command, a liberation battle continued, and on December 16, 1971, Bangladesh triumphed. People called him "Bangabandhu and The Father of the Nation" because of his sincere devotion for this country. On August 15, 1975, some disorganised military fired a shot that killed him. It was a great loss for the country, and the world as well.
